Works great as a replacement! Looks solid after installation. Excellent price. However, installation is difficult. As this was my second time (first time a year ago on the driver's side) everything went pretty smoothly. I have reproduced the first installation practice using two vices. It will make more sense once you see it fit into place. Before the "slide" but in place, place a vise (Irwin quick grip or similar) on each of the two areas that will ultimately slide. Press them down firmly, but not so hard that they won't snap when you tap them with a hammer. My method is the work of one person. Has worked for me twice. It is NOT recommended to remove the red plastic from the tape (goes the full length and the other across the width at the top) beforehand. Instead, peel off a small piece that sticks out just enough to peel off the remaining red stripe after it's attached. If the red plastic snaps off quickly like I did, then it's fine. The integrity of it will be fine. I removed the red plastic a few inches wide in front of said slide. I hope that makes sense. I'm curious how much the dealer charges for what is essentially a light repair. 🤔 Good luck!
