I used this extension to install an Allen Sports Deluxe 3-Bike Hitch Mount Rack on a 2006 Jeep Liberty.
I used this extension to install an Allen Sports Deluxe 3-Bike Hitch Mount Rack on my wife's 2006 Jeep Liberty to free up a spare tire. I drilled a 5/8" thru hole and a 1/2" thru hole in the extension and two 1/2" thru holes in the rack. I screwed the post and extension with 1/2" screws and assembled scale. The assembly attaches to the factory Jeep hitch with a standard 5/8" hitch pin. The extension adds 14 inches to the rack. The bike pedal extends 1-1/2 inches past the spare tire.
