The backup camera works very well on my 2017 Coachmen Freelander towing a 12 foot trailer that I converted to an office. The overall length of my setup is about 40 feet, which means the camera and receiver are about 38 feet apart. As soon as I had power they synced up and immediately found a signal and picture. My setup was very easy as I already have a 12 volt system in my trailer so I just bolted the camera to the roof, drilled a hole in the top and routed the power cable down. I could have just plugged it into my trailer taillight but that was better for my application. Installing the cabin was very easy, just plug it into a 12 volt outlet. The red 12 volt plug is also used to turn the power on and off. The monitor also comes with a remote control and has brightness options. This is a very large display that works great and produces a very nice picture. As I put it (above), you can't see the first two meters directly behind the trailer. It's not because of the cameras, if you put them close to the bumper you can see them perfectly, but I have a big door that runs the entire back wall so I had to mount it on the roof. I use a trailer all the time and encounter a lot of tight spots so this camera and monitor is 100x better for me than being completely blind in the back. I really like the large monitor and would recommend this system to anyone who has an RV, especially if you are towing a trailer.
