Review on ⚡️ Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 100V 30A 12/24V Solar Charge Controller with Bluetooth: Efficient Power Optimization by Allan Duman

Summary: I've reviewed a few MPPT controllers for Vine and while they were all decent, Victron Energy (VE) has high ratings so I decided to buy to review . My solar/photovoltaic system specifications: 1000W panels; Ship battery bank 24 V, 270 Ah (Optima); Voltworks inverter 2000W. Using the system to lower our utility bills. This review is for the 100V/50A controller, which is the second VE controller I have purchased. Observations: The first thing to note is that unlike most others, this one doesn't have a control panel (only three LEDs); That means you need a smart device to read the values. There are two main offerings from VE, namely SmartSolar (with built-in Bluetooth) and BlueSolar (requires a BT dongle). Between the two, I chose the built-in BT (SmartSolar). One of the great things about the VE system is that it allows MPPTs to talk to each other over BT; This is a great feature for a larger system. Recommendations: One reason for choosing the cheaper BlueSolar over SmartSolar is that you don't need the additional features of BT; But for me, I didn't mind spending an extra $30-$40 (per controller) to get those features. Pros: Industrial quality and features; good application support (firmware is updated on first connection); Security (Bluetooth); good/efficient loading algorithm; good data and graphics. Cons: No built-in display (compensated for by a much better app and charts). Verdict: $225, 5-star rating. Of all the MPPT controllers I've reviewed, Victron is the recommended brand.
