So I recently did some final tweaks to my machine and now I've decided on RAM, CPU, cooler, case and adjusted the overclock to get the best balance between good idle temps and performance . It's time to dive into the fan case. Something told me to just stick with Noctua, but of course I had to watch a few YouTube videos claiming that the Kaze Flex or Artic P series is the king of case fans. No, not even close, at least not in my "case", literally. I have a Corsair 275r Airflow and after trying the Kaze Flex 140mm on the front of my case, the low rumble started to bother me. Don't get me wrong, they are leaps and bounds better than any standard fan that comes in a case, but there was still some noise/hum and maybe I'm being picky, but the only thing I want to hear is the airflow, not every one kind of noise. I use a couple of these NF-A14s in the front with their low-noise adapter, which ramps them down to 1050rpm, a couple of NF-A12x25s push the dust filter in from the top with their low-noise adapters, and then in the back as da it Because there is no dust filter, just a grid with holes that are a little smaller than an eraser, I chose the NF-S12A. Honestly I couldn't be happier! I used to have a pair of 140mm Kaze Flex fans in the front and all Kaze Flex fans in the rear. Great fans but no they were still too distracting as I literally work right next to my car all day. Of course, I don't see a huge temperature difference as the Kaze Flex fans are excellent, but with the Kaze Flexes I've been idling between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius. That's pretty damn good for an overclocked Ryzen 7 3700x, but now, with all the Noctua fans out there, I'm actually riding in the narrower 34-38 range, and I've also seen temperatures of 33C on occasion, which is definitely not the case was. t there. happened before. All Noctuas cost $3 more than Kaze Flexes (we're talking 140mm). The difference is worth it to me!
