I use almost 100% official Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for almost all kinds of games. This is a solid controller that is worth every penny. But damn it's a bulky beast. And here it comes to the rescue. With a traditional D-Pad acting as a replacement for joysticks, I think it's a solid controller to just go and play with. And even though 8BitDo sells it as an add-on to the Nintendo Switch Lite, I still think it's a decent controller for mainstream Switch gamers, especially when traveling. This controller is very light. He's not difficult at all. The buttons are very good and clicky. The D-Pad feels good. Can't say if this is a great precision platform controller, haven't gotten to it yet. It's also possible that I'm just bad at video games. But I think it's a great secondary controller for those of us who love the D-Pad and clicky buttons instead of the harder, quieter Pro Controller buttons.
