Leaking after second use

Original bearing failed after prolonged use for morning smoothies. I bought these 2 as spares. I noticed that the shaft moves up and down with the blades. Not sure if it leaked after the first use but definitely after the second. When I turned it upside down there was smoothie juice inside where the flat inside meets the base. I wiped it off with my finger and it covered my fingertip several times. Then I rinsed it to clear it. Disappointing. I like the silicone gasket removal tool.
