I find the 1.75mm Octave ABS Filament to be of high quality and products made from it have a luster and smooth finish. The only issues I've found with it, which I'll probably just have to get used to, is that the filament itself is a lot less flexible than other manufacturers, and at least when used with a MakerBot printer you need to make sure that it goes off the rails. beautiful and straight. It has a natural kink because it's on a spool that tends to fight you until it goes up the guide tube, and it's so stiff it wants to unwind a lot more than, say, the filament MakerBot supplies. Buy or print some clips to keep it folded. Another issue is that this Octave manufacturer, like many other filament manufacturers, may have a different holder hole size than your printer. With a MakerBot printer, my holders are as large a diameter as any of the others, so I had to design and print the holders to fit the other two filament spool sizes. The octave hole size is 32 mm (1.26 inch). Overall I would say this thread is a lot cheaper than some of the others (especially the MakerBot brands) and is good value for money.
