I googled "best sheets" for months: soft, non-frying, good quality, no plastic. I've read countless reviews and bought sheets to return, most recently at California Den last week, which after washing were worse than sandpaper. Couldn't even sleep on it for 2 nights. This is a very soft certified 100% Egyptian cotton for only $50. They may be considered thin, but they are RELIABLE. If you have OCD due to wrinkles, either get rid of the iron or don't buy one. I don't care because nobody sees them. In my experience, no crease usually means stiffness, not 100% cotton, which isn't for me. Washed before use, washed the next day because of my dog, the stain didn't go out and got even softer. I was NOT hot and they weren't cold, some call it "crispy", but they are perfect for me as I overheat easily. I have a 4 inch foam topper on my pillow top mattress and the deep pockets were perfect. The top sheet was not short due to the oversize of my bed. I think they were wider than most queen sizes. I will definitely buy more! Highly recommended.
