Invalid splint processing

This tool can be a great tool. Upon opening it, however, I noticed that the 3/8" bushings were worn as if the cutting tool used was in poor condition. This can be clearly seen in the general photo above on the right and in the detail photo of the socket. The diameter has been increased by 0.035 inches. The processing quality made all 3/8 inch sockets unusable. Also, while the 5/16" bushings were much improved, they were .010" larger and one of them was rusted internally. This can be seen in detail in one of the photos. Drills in 3/8 and 5/16 sleeves can vibrate so much that accuracy and vertical alignment are no better than no sleeve at all. The 1/4" bushings were acceptable in finish and bore. Unfortunately the 3/8 and 5/16 bushings rendered the tool unacceptable and I sent the kit back. tighten until the bushing is tight at the bottom of the mounting hole where the thread tension stopped the wobble. This was acceptable, although I would probably suggest wrapping a turn or two with TFE thread tape to take up the slack. Also note the photo of the dowel pins. The heads are too big for all three pins could fit in the holder. This would also be acceptable but indicates an error which could easily be corrected. Better production and quality control would make this a great tool. Unfortunately the instrument supplied was not acceptable at any price.
