Review on ⚡ NGK (5944) BPR7HIX Iridium IX Spark Plug: Enhanced Performance in a Standard Pack of 1 by Kyle Tebow

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Iridium spark plug NGK BPR7H1X for HD '01 Sportster etc.

I've been using Iridium spark plugs on various cars for a long time. The main reason is the very long service life of the electrodes. GMC came up with the idea when they installed iridium plugs in pickup trucks and quoted a plug life of 100,000 miles. NGK spark plugs are among the best. In my bikes I've found them to be pretty much a loophole, install and forget about them until you decide to look at them in two years time. I've covered some of them in soot from too hard a fuel setting and they still haven't gotten dirty. I find that a tiny iridium electrode can ignite the mixture a little better than standard spark plugs, simply because the mixture entering the cylinder can more completely surround the tip of the spark plug. Well, those are my thoughts anyway. The engines seem to run/start a little better. They won't show up on your tank checks or increase your power by a silly percentage like the ads suggest, but they seem very reliable and long life is a real benefit. A good product.
