I did this rafting trip and it turned out to be a champion. It doesn't record very clear video, and given the bright sun, conditions were pretty much ideal, but the results were far from there. But the point is, it doesn't matter. If you want to record decent videos, buy a decent camcorder. The thing, on the other hand, is waterproof! And extreme! I don't know if you've ever done whitewater rafting, but it can be pretty brutal, and after being fully submerged more than once and bouncing a few times, the unit still looks and works like new. . I am very, very impressed with the build quality. I'm giving 4 stars because I'm not very impressed with the picture quality. If you need something to abuse, this is your camera. it will take.
