📷 Rugged and Reliable: Panasonic SDR-SW21 Shock & Waterproof Camcorder (Green) Review

I had a Toshiba camcorder but it was recently stolen. I bought a Panasonic SDR-SW21 as a replacement and am very satisfied with the simple control features. This model is better suited to my outdoor needs as it is waterproof and shockproof. I tried this camcorder on a camping trip and the standard picture quality seems better than my Toshiba model. Although the zoom image quality was grainy, it was acceptable for the money. The volume was slightly lower than my Toshiba model.

I did this rafting trip and it turned out to be a champion. It doesn't record very clear video, and given the bright sun, conditions were pretty much ideal, but the results were far from there. But the point is, it doesn't matter. If you want to record decent videos, buy a decent camcorder. The thing, on the other hand, is waterproof! And extreme! I bought this camera last year and returned it a few days later because the video quality was very poor. If you moved at all while filming, the video produced was so blurry it made your eyes water to watch. It was uncomfortable to hold due to the shape. The Sanyo VPC-E1 and VPC-E2 record videos much better, but the VPC-E1 broke after 13 months and the VPC-E2 after 4 months. I've had a couple of Olympus Stylus waterproof cameras and they're a little more durable but the video quality isn't great
