I bought this for two reasons. Primarily to add bass to my Alexa Echo setup rather than the awful Echo sub-bass (which I sent in immediately after trying it out and realizing the complete lack of audio control). for independent adjustment of the hi-mid and sub levels as well as the volume with the supplied remote control. Sounds great for a home system for what it is. So far it can be quite loud with no visible distortion. The second reason was to improve my TV's sound, which I'm sure will be as the TV's speakers are rubbish. You can easily switch between inputs with the remote control. Very beautiful. A happy camper. :)
