I saw a brown carpet in the photo and a statement that these are "40 gallon tanks". Turns out I got an ugly green carpet and it was too narrow for my 40 gallon tank. I've looked at all the 40 gallon aquariums at the pet store and they are all 16 inches deep (or more). This rug is 15 inches wide so there is a gap where the glass can be seen from the front or back. It probably won't work for your tank if you have 40 gallons. The description doesn't say what color you get so I don't know if it's random or what?!
