I bought this meter specifically to measure DC current with a clamp. Unfortunately, it does not measure direct current. This can be a great device if you need a cheap voltmeter. Nice and small and you can keep it in your testing toolbox. It's the only thing I needed that I didn't already have with my randomness, and it's the only thing that doesn't work. Unfortunately I lost the screw holding the battery cover so I will not be returning it. I think I just threw away $15.
