We used to have some toys for our twin babies to sleep in while we were visiting their grandparents, but we needed a different solution when we caught them getting out of the crib and balancing on the edge of the crib for fun. Tried the foam lounge chairs but the chairs were actually too short and flimsy for the kids to be comfortable and one of them slept on the floor anyway. If we had been incredibly frugal, sex might have worked for us. However, my husband was concerned about the construction of the floor as spiders often appear in this room in winter. I am incredibly happy with the Hiccapop air mattresses. They're easy to inflate and strong enough to withstand a few toddlers jumping over them. The inner mattress fits a standard bed sheet so we were able to dress it up 'like at home' without having to buy special covers (unlike custom sized play and play sheets). This detail will make it really comfortable when the kids start potty training as we will have many night cover options. I really like the outer bumper for three reasons: the barrier that keeps the mattress and blankets from touching the ground. This prevents babies from rolling off the mattress as they are still adjusting to sleeping in cradles. And uniquely for Gemini, it keeps them from invading each other's space and bothering each other. Immediately they placed "my bed/your bed" between the two and it was very easy to tell her to "go to your bed" to put her to bed for the night. They only used it for one night. so far, but they were like light when bedtime was over and they slept through the night. Both said they slept well in their "camping beds." All storage packaging is more compact than packs and play boxes, although I don't think it's possible to pack a mattress back into its original packaging once inflated. without very careful deflation and strategic folding. When inflated, they definitely take up more space than cribs, but kids are also a lot bigger, so that's to be expected. The only downside is the initial smell you get with any new inflatable product but no one seemed to mind and I expect the smell will eventually dissipate next time we use them for a longer stay. All in all, this was a great purchase. The product is really high quality and it is designed really well for toddlers.
