Buy another one. Terrible of course compared to other IOT devices which are a pain considering they have to use 2.4G, especially with mesh networks (although I have a separate 2.4G network installed and it always is would not establish a connection yet). I know all about the AP option etc. But no matter what I did it wouldn't connect except maybe on a random occasion. Even worse, you have to reconnect every time you want to make changes. Since it doesn't seem to want to remember that it's plugged in, you have to hit the reset button every time, which is crazy. Also, you need to know how long to hold it down, and there doesn't seem to be a factory reset option to start over. No indicators, just a front panel LED and a reset button for $50! BTW the documentation is ridiculous and uses the smallest possible font and I couldn't find where to download it and the support team didn't respond. Finally, let me say that I have at least a dozen other IoT devices, three degrees in electrical engineering and computer science, and decades of experience in electronics and software development. A classic case of not testing with unknown users. Sorry, good functionality.
