Great technique. Yes, you need this monitor.

At first I was hesitant to buy a Philips monitor, assuming the quality wouldn't compare to other well-known brands. Affordable price, 4 year warranty and good reviews - that's what made me choose this monitor. PANEL The screen itself is bright. I try to keep the brightness around 85-90.1. Text looks crisp both in the center and on the sides2. Contrast is good 3. Pictures look great4. The colors are pretty accurate - I didn't make any changes to adjust the panel colors. The colors from the box looked good to me. I have no plans to use this monitor for photo editing. I have another monitor that is more creatively oriented. AESTHETICS Overall the monitor looks great. Even the back has a matte look. I love it! CURVEI really likes the curve. I've heard some people say the curve takes some getting used to, but I found it easy to get used to. I don't think I want a wider monitor. The size is perfect. Luckily the monitor I received was in perfect condition. No dead pixels. Philips' dead pixel policy isn't clear at all. I hope this will never be a problem. The 4 year guarantee is great. It looks like Philips endorses their product. GAMESI has not yet tested serious games on this monitor, but I will post an update here soon. I was playing Roblox and the game filled the entire screen. Any content that fills the entire screen looks truly amazing. USB-C My work laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad. The USB-C port on the laptop that I plug the power adapter into didn't work when I connected the monitor with the included USB-C cable. This is probably a misunderstanding on my part. The laptop has an additional USB-C port with a charger next to it. When I connected a monitor to this USB-C port, the laptop displayed on the monitor in 1440p and the laptop was powered by the monitor. Pretty amazing The STAND stand is very stable. The screen can be tilted up and down, rotated left and right, and raised and lowered. Very happy with it. SPEAKERS The speakers are great considering they are built in speakers and not dedicated reference monitors. This is a very welcome addition and they are doing a great job. INTENDED USE People may choose this monitor for a variety of reasons. For me, the main reason was work. It's a dream to have this monitor for work. I'm an IT engineer, so having Visual Studio Code, PowerShell, Outlook and the Azure portal open at the same time (I have a second monitor) really helps with productivity. A creative professional might want to avoid the curvature and opt for a panel with even higher color fidelity. A gamer may need more than 100 Hz for gameplay to run as smoothly as possible. If you're looking for more screen real estate and want to be more productive, then this monitor is for you. Note: Revain's stats for this item don't make sense. I was asked to rate the "transparency" and "thickness" of the monitor.
