As others have said, you must start very carefully with this tool if this is your first time using a tool like this. This includes not only using the scissors to trim or "cut off" the movement, but also when you START the process and simply use the scissors anywhere near or on the nails and/or on the cuticles/skin around place the nails. Remember, it's always better to TOO LITTLE than TOO MUCH cuticles or hard/dry skin around the nail bed. ONCE you feel the blade actually cut something, DO NOT ATTEMPT to go further or deeper into the cuticle or dry nail bed. Then when my nails are dry I'll use cuticle scissors.
