I have nothing to compare as this is my first cuticle clipper. They are sharp, easy to use and take care of my dangling nails and cuticles. The case is good, although I wish it had hinges. The plastic cap for the sharp tip is ideal. Overall much better than using standard nail clippers! They do the job well and I wonder why I waited so long to buy them.

As others have said, you must start very carefully with this tool if this is your first time using a tool like this. This includes not only using the scissors to trim or "cut off" the movement, but also when you START the process and simply use the scissors anywhere near or on the nails and/or on the cuticles/skin around place the nails. These wire cutters are much sharper and more accurate than the last ones I had to replace because the spring mechanism broke. Unfortunately, the spring mechanism on them started slipping right out of the box. They're still usable, but that's an annoying problem. There are torx screws that can be tightened, but I haven't tried it yet. It would be better if the spring mechanism was spot welded.
