Really great product for those who have small parrots. I never thought they would choose this feeder over their favorite food, especially as I was concerned that the spout hole would be too small for them, but now that I've been using this feeder for about a month, I can understand why they do. 1. Let's start with the basics: the feeder feeds them constantly. While their usual dish can sometimes just be filled with seeds or leftover food instead of food, this feeder always seems to give them something they want. 2. Because the tank is so shallow, with a constant stream of food dropping (mostly) seeds, they almost never have to dig up the piece they want. It should be noted, however, that the opening had to be adjusted so that food appropriate to the size of the cockatiel (including sunflower seeds) could pass through more easily. This may not be the case if you use smaller foods. Adjustment was easy, just a screwdriver on the screw above the feeder. This feeder seems to run pretty smoothly with just the right size hole, but if I'm going to be away for more than a few hours I'll still make sure to leave my plate of food with them. This feeder doesn't take away from you the daily attention you need to put into feeding your birds, it just makes it easier for your bird to find the food they need and for that it's worth every penny!
