Review on 🔴 Permatex 81160 High-Temp Red RTV Silicone Gasket: Reliable 3 oz Solution by Doug Booth

So my boiler is about 30 years old. Standard boiler parts are available for this, but individual boiler parts, such as e.g. B. the seal for the hot water register are not available. So after scraping off the old gasket I removed the rust on the cast iron and steel plate, wiped with alcohol, applied red permatex, hand tightened, waited 1 hour, tightened all the bolts evenly. Waited 2 days, even called 24 hours hard. At the moment the boiler has been running for more than a week without any signs of leaks. I am happy and most of all my wife too! Yes, I would recommend this super versatile gasket material. They have others they can use near petroleum products, this isn't for that.
