Since all containers were the same size, packing was very easy. Many days later.
I used them for cooking, but their first real test came when I took them on a hike. If all the containers are the same size, it's very easy to pack. After a few days most of the ice had melted and the bottom third of the fridge was completely covered in ice. They were immersed in very cold water for several days. Not a single drop of water got into any of my dishes, despite the fact that children's hands go back and forth in the fridge for snacks, pushing things around to find the right one.
