Very high temp is best for reptiles and amphibians
At first I thought it was broken but I realized it doesn't emit light only heat. It was perfect for my snake! The included thermometer works, you just have to read the instructions on the back of the box it comes in. Also included are 2 batteries. A lightbulb heats the hot side of my tank to about 84 degrees, love it!
