Resistors work great except they are HOT when the parking lights are on; Resistors work in excess of 200 degrees Fahrenheit! The installation is quite simple electrically: a simple parallel connection (jumping the existing 2 +/- wires, no polarity) between the existing flashing light activating the 2 wires. Parking light cables do not need to be connected. We advise you to use a voltmeter to determine which 2 wires will activate the turn signal function, after this you will need to plan the wires connecting the tracks to the existing wiring harness and the location of the resistors on the metal. This is very important as you MUST screw real resistors into the metal to dissipate heat. The length of wire supplied with the resistors is sufficient in most cases (12" I think), but shorter lengths can cause problems (add more 20 gauge wire). Quick splice connectors are simple and effective if only one pliers is used.
