The frames are thin - plastic or extruded plastic. You look great. BUT. When everything was assembled - the picture in the frame - the glass (thin sheet of plastic) - sitting on the table - everything looked great. Then I hung it on the wall. Oh my goodness! You couldn't see the picture, but you could see everything in the room. It was like a mirror. We closed all windows and curtains. All you could see was a reflection of EVERYTHING in the room. When it gets dark - the same - if you don't look at it from an angle. Then, and only then, can you see the picture within. I'm looking for a replacement plexiglass or something to put in place of the kit but it's a lot more expensive than just getting a nicer frame. I am sure you will hang the photos in a very dark closet.
