I only chose this model because it is blue and I knew I would find it easier. It costs more, but it's a nice blue tint, and I didn't want to spray-paint a tiny piece of plastic just to find it. PREPARE FOR A SHOCK! There are probably a dozen of these testers under different brand names but with identical or nearly identical interiors. Once you've caught your breath, read on. They all work the same way, and they all work well enough for simple little battery testers. They all test regular AA, AAA, AAAA, D, C, nine volts (note the two terminal holes that line up with the 9 volt battery terminals on the right side of the tester on the front panel) and they work well with button cells if you're patient enough to even out the little suction cups between the two pins on regular terminals. Here's a super-secret tip to make sure you don't lose your tester: keep it with spare batteries. It took me years of trial and error to find this tip for you and yes I know many women who take up reading out of habit but that's always the case. . . . Imagine if we had a woman in whoops, never mind, it's a lost cause!
