Review on 🔍 Optimized Search: Master Lock 178D Combination Padlock by Ben Chase

I have this lock for our scuba shed where we hang our scuba gear after rinsing it in fresh water. I "on site tested" the lock during two weeks of daily dives. The castle has been exposed to salt water and tropical winter rains. So far the castle has been great. When you first get the lock, you need to set the combination with a thin metal key. It took me a few tries to do it successfully. The key started to bend and I was afraid it would break open in the lock. However, I was able to reset the combination after a few tries. A word of caution with this lock: to unlock it once you've dialed in the right combination, you'll have to push the deadbolt inward quite hard to unlock it. I think some of the reviewers who had bad experiences with this lock may not have done so and were therefore unable to open the lock.
