Review on DJI Air Fly More Combo by Sean Young

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Make sure you have the correct version of the DJY Fly app installed

This is my third personal DJI drone and the sixth drone I fly, including drones for the Work. I will not go into details of the drone as many others have already done so. Instead I will explain a silly issue with the DJI Fly app that may confuse many novice users. As of May 15, 2021, the DJI Fly App on the Android Play Store is no longer compatible with the Mavic Air 2S. You CANNOT get the latest version from the Google Play Store. You need to go to the DJI website and find it in the Downloads section. Your phone will warn you that the app could be dangerous and you need to allow the download if you want to continue. If you want to fly with your Android smartphone or tablet, there is currently no other way. Download "D JI FLY APK" download and install it on your phone and it will look like any other app from play store. If you already have the DJI FLY app from your previous drone, you need to uninstall it and download the new one from DJI website. The QR code in the quick start guide that came with the drone didn't work for me, I had to search their website manually. If you do not do the above. Your radio controller will not connect to the drone. After tapping "GO FLY" on the main screen of the app, "AIRPLANE NOT CONNECTED" will be displayed in red. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO, THE OLD APP WILL NOT CONNECT TO THE AIR 2S. Once you have a new version of the Fly app, the aircraft will connect and start downloading multiple updates. Now it should work. Another note: Air 2S, 3x battery, charger, spare props, controller and ND filter fit in the Lowepro Droneguard CS 150 case. Comfortable, but I adapt everything. This is my favorite case for small foldable drones.
