Great product / Terrible packaging / Inaccurate instructions

Let me start by saying this is a great product. A solid 4 from me. Then why did I give it 3 stars? Read on and you will understand. The product did exactly what I needed. I haven't had any of the issues other people have reported of bearings falling out or parts rubbing against the ground due to a profile that is too low. My floor is pretty smooth for the most part, but there are still some areas where the floor is rough due to the grout I wasn't able to completely remove from my workshop floor. I have no problem gliding on less smooth surfaces; smooth. My jointer weighs 213 pounds and I used a 30" x 13" piece of plywood that was not bent. If you have a curved piece of plywood you can still use it, just make sure the curve is pointing in the opposite direction from the ground. Another important point is to make sure you measure everything you plan to mobilize so the weight is evenly distributed across all corners/wheels. My jointer fits the piece of plywood I cut out very snugly. no extra room (maybe 1 inch all around. This was done on purpose to keep the weight as close to the corners as possible. Before installing any tools, make sure the rubber floor is laying flat. If you don't, seat the tool a sitting position (stationary) will make any instrument you sit on unbalanced/unlevel and there isn't a good way to adjust it without removing every heavy instrument you have back off the base I think has as an option one person hooked up two pedals to actuate them I most likely will too, because when you have a heavy instrument mounted on a pedestal, toggling the foot pedals on/off individually creates an uneven base, if you're careful this isn't a Problem. but I'd rather play it safe, if that were taken into account I'd give the product 5 stars instead of the 4 I've quoted (assuming the bad N news you haven't heard of hasn't happened). Now for the bad. abominable. You can't really tell what a part is, and if you're somewhat of an amateur like me, it's impossible to tell the description of the parts from the parts in the instructions. You must use an elimination process by identifying all of the same parts and comparing them to the number of directions in each part. as I said - almost all parts look the same in directions. This problem was compounded by the fact that when I received my package in the mail and after opening it, all the nuts, bolts, tie bolts/nylon washers were loose in the box. (see photo). I was very surprised that nothing actually fell out of the box and was not lost. But it quadrupled my prep time because I wasn't sure what/if anything was missing. I believe the directions indicated I needed 12 nuts, although I could only see what turned out to be 2 that fit 2 wheel locks. T-bolts are described. So let's summarize. The parts were loose, the instructions are difficult to read/understand which part it is, and the instructions have a typo saying I need 12 of something instead of 2. As the frustration built, I started assembling it anyway. and realized there was an error in the instructions and that I actually had all the parts I should have gotten. The package I received was either used or Creed from The Office was running quality control. The parts weren't in the plastic bag and the machine grease was on parts that shouldn't have been machine grease. Some of the items that looked like they were once in the package weren't there anymore. While I'm pretty sure I received a returned version of this product and no one bothered to try it, I'm lucky nothing was missing. . Regardless of how good the product is, my build experience with it, dealing with inaccurate instructions and potentially missing parts leads me to give it 3 stars based on my build experience and the fact that my unit will likely be there item returned the nobody bothered to look at him. I guess most people won't have the problems I have, but I wanted to share my experience from start to finish.
