Great product for shops

This is the second Bora Portamate PM-1100. I bought another mobile base for my table saw. I will say that Bora Portamat is a much better product than the one on my table saw. Bora has all metal parts and a solid construction. I plan to replace mobile bases on all my hardware if you want to get your money's worth. Check this out. You will not regret it

I love these tool bases.

Excellent way to move stationary tools. I liked it so much that I immediately bought a second one for my stool. The second set came without 30mm mounting screws but the manufacturer sent them out immediately and I received them 2 days later. Very helpful customer service! However, I made changes to both databases. I screwed a 3/16" x 1-1/4" piece of flat bar onto the foot controls. The tool lifts easily and smoothly in one movement. Works perfectly. I haven't had them long but I expect they…

Great product for mobile bases

Man-man - conscientiously manufactured for heavy use, easy to assemble product - by far a rarity these days. Bought a 3/4" piece of HD plywood and cut it to accommodate the 33" square base of my Craftsman band saw, marked and drilled the holes with a 1/2" drill bit and put them in the easy corner brackets to be mounted. and tightened everything together. Voila! Lightweight, manoeuvrable band saw. I also took another reviewer's lead and connected two raise/lower arms with a piece of strong but…

Major update of the tool base

I have two tools that I wanted to use but I had doubts about how this item would work. I bought a set to test. The item was out of stock when I ordered but Revain emailed me 3 days later that the item had been dispatched. I didn't expect so fast, but I was satisfied. Out of the box they felt sturdy, all metal (except for the wheels). I decided to install it on the largest tool, a cast iron router table, which required a 30x40 piece of plywood. If that didn't work I knew I could cut the plywood…

Good base. I have information to speed up the build.

This base fits my situation perfectly. Assembly was fairly easy, but I would like to add the following: 1. For some reason there is grease on the two pivot plates. Don't wipe it.2. Step 2.d. (and duplicate 2.e) uses lock washers and nuts. There were no lock washers but the nuts were lock nuts so there was no problem.3. Step 8 says to drill 1/2 inch holes in the plywood to install the screws. Some people noticed that they used a 3/8" drill bit instead and consequently some had alignment issues…

Mobile tools! for mobile stands

I bought this because all my tools in my 2 car garage need to be mobile. For the bandsaw I built it following the instructions: 1 inch more length and width, wheels out for more lateral stability. The only issue I had, and not the mobile base's fault, was that my Porter Cable band saw had a hinged door that was blocked by the wheels so I couldn't open it. My solution was to put a 2x4 under the saw on both sides to raise it. Now I can open the door 3/4 until the lift lever gets in the way. If I…

Too bad I didn't discover this before buying another mobile base!

I first bought an HTC2000 adjustable mobile base and an additional set of extensions to make the base for my miter saw which sits on a 28" wide x 63" long stand. The HTC2000 and the extension kit fitted together perfectly and moved the saw perfectly. The problem I had with this arrangement was that every time I wanted to use the saw I tripped over the moving base frame because it was a huge rectangular frame. The stand on which the saw stands has inverted V-shaped legs. Between the legs, the…

Great product / Terrible packaging / Inaccurate instructions

Let me start by saying this is a great product. A solid 4 from me. Then why did I give it 3 stars? Read on and you will understand. The product did exactly what I needed. I haven't had any of the issues other people have reported of bearings falling out or parts rubbing against the ground due to a profile that is too low. My floor is pretty smooth for the most part, but there are still some areas where the floor is rough due to the grout I wasn't able to completely remove from my workshop…

Surprisingly not great

I have a 2x4 and a 4x4 centipede. I can do woodwork behind my house but the cleaning is terrible. So I prefer to work outside when I can and they are great for that, except once you have them attached they can be difficult to move. Mostly I work with 2x4, sometimes with 4x4 and sometimes with both. You can't just attach the wheels to these platforms as the legs are plastic and there is nothing to attach them to. I suppose you could do something to get the wheel down through the leg, but even…
