This would be a 5 star rating if it weren't for one annoying thing about this lock: There is a steel ball inside that prevents you from unlocking the close the lock, unless you insert the lock into the bolt from below and do not hold it at an angle when closing the lock so that the steel ball falls back into the slot in the lock body. I bought 3 padlocks and they all work this way. That being said, the quality, the ease of fitting the lock to your key and the beautiful rubber coating on the lock make it a 5 star product! Despite the annoyance of the above, I would definitely recommend this lock! Update: I have contacted Bolt customer service regarding the above issue and have been reassured that it does not need to be held in a specific position to lock. They forced me to send back the 3 padlocks I bought (having to buy cheap padlocks for my caravan so I could lock it) and said they would send new padlocks when they got my old ones. The replacement they sent me does the same. I'm starting to notice white corrosion around the keyhole and some rust, but so far the locks still work perfectly except for the ball issue. I am downgrading one star because this is obviously an issue that they are aware of and got me to forgo secure locks in order to send me a replacement set with the exact same issue.
