Good solid wheel. If you want the wheel to rotate 360 degrees and not get stuck in the gate, consider installing it about 6 inches from the fence. I used a 6X6 post about 10 inches long that was bolted to the outside of my existing wooden gates. You'll need a long drill if going through 6" lumber plus existing gate wood. You'll need some spring compression when it's adjusted to keep the tire on the ground when driving over rough terrain. Mine worked best when I made a smooth surface for the tire to ride on. The bracket has 6 pre-drilled 3/8" mounting holes so the gate you mount can be used with lag screws or bolts through the whole gate depending on your integration, 6X6 and wood fence mounting lag screws or bolts are not included, and there are no instructions. Outside the gate it can become a stepping stone and make it easier for someone to get over the fence. Rubber degrades with age, so shade from the sun may be necessary when placing.
