The board feels very durable in the water and the material it is made of is very durable. I don't expect anything to pierce it in the water, but of course you still need to be sensible and try to avoid any obstacles you encounter in the water. The board is made of non-slip material, which provides even more stability. To be honest, the board feels sturdy enough to even do yoga on. Once you're done paddling, it all fits nicely into the included back end and it's a lot lighter than you'd expect. The backpack back design makes it easy to transport the board and helps take the strain off your arms and shoulders that you would get if it had a standard back like most kayaks.
