Great bag. I've had mine for a year or two now and I'm still not happier with it. I use a 25ft tape measure and the pouch fits perfectly, but if it were tight I would just stretch it out like others have suggested. In the beginning it was a bit more difficult than now, but that was okay. Don't try to insert the tape measure clip side down, insert the tape measure upside down with the clip side out and it will fit like a charm. It doesn't take long to get used to putting it back in this way and it's very easy to take out as they left a hole under the tape to push it out of the flat pouch.
