I replaced the Prusa i3 MK3 extruder motor, everything is fine.
The standard i3 mk3 extruder motor gets very hot. I don't know if it's badly wired or just constantly overloaded, but the concern is that heat will be transferred to the Bondtech gears and the PLA will warp when fed. Having had some random issues I decided to upgrade my extruder to a slightly more powerful one and went with this one. It's a bit longer, but even with newer R3 mods, it doesn't matter if you install it. This is the perfect replacement. It also stays cool for 12+ hours of typing and hasn't given me a single issue. The perfect replacement.
