I don't know why others had so many problems with this adapter, I almost didn't want to try it but I'm glad I did because it's everything I expected and wanted! I've used this with both my TV and my projector and they both worked great. There were no issues setting it up or connecting it - it just worked (when used with my Surface Book 2). Some reviewers mentioned that you need to be very close to the adapter for it to work, but I haven't experienced this problem.I've used it at over 10ft and it works great, very little lag and the picture quality is good a bit disappointing it can only work with a maximum of 1080p i thought it would be able to do 4k but it wasn't the only problem i had, was trying to update the firmware. It failed a couple of times and it was f The only time being close to the adapter mitigated the problem and I was able to successfully perform a firmware update.
