I have bought these glasses 11 times in different strengths for different purposes; some lost and some jumped at the connection points. The first pair were bought in 2017 and came in a brown translucent case - they were slightly tinted to block blue light. They don't seem to make them anymore, which I really miss. I work on a computer 8+ hours a day and blue light blocking is a must for me. I discovered this by accident with these glasses before blue light blocking became a marketing trend. Without tint, my eyes looked fiery at the end of the day. I wear 1.50 magnification lenses for general use and still need a 1.0 reader for computer use (progressive lenses didn't work for me for computer use). Altec no longer makes 1.0 lenses or tints their lenses, so I only use them for TV when I'm out of contacts, and keep a pair in my purse for other needs when I'm traveling. no silicone on the temples because they pull on your hair when you put them on and take them off - they hold up great without them and that makes them even lighter. They would be 5.0 stars if they still offered a tinted version and had a 1.0 durability. Definitely my favorite comfort magnifier, just missing the tint and 1.0 option for my everyday work needs.
