Review on Xprite Pink LED Truck Bed Light Kits With On/Off Switch by Jake Solorzano

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bright lights, terrible instructions, great price.

These little lights are bright and easy to set up. The only knock on the subj line is the instructions. Useless. To recap, and as others have pointed out: 1. See Bobster's Garage Review (last 4 stars) for VERY detailed (and GENIUS!) installation instructions. I pulled out the exact quote from the hookup guide below. *z2. The switch is NOT waterproof! 3. String Lite can be divided into sections.4. You'll probably need to learn how to solder to connect them properly. (Easy. Check out the YouTube video) 5. If you can't tell which car wires are +/-, these lights ONLY work in one direction! So unplug the car plugs for the wires you will be using or strip the wire, put the + wire from the Lites in one slot (or wire) and the other in the other slot. Easy? Then you have found + to + and - to -. If NO Liteup, swap cables. Viola!. You found a post and negative! I wire my truck bed lights to the right hand bright POS (+) number plate - always hot when the truck lights are on! - and grounded to the truck stud. Place the switch in the bed drawer door, cover the wires with a Home Depot wire cover. Switch with soft plastic cover. Took 2 liters from the cable and put it in my Prius - attached to the rear charging cables - only hot when the tailgate is open! From the Bobster Garage Review: You now have the positive (+) and negative (-) wires from each light strip, as well as the 12 volt power (+) and ground (-) wires that you routed separately. Only 6 wires. So take the three negative (-) ground wires and connect them to the gold negative post on your switch. Take the 12 volt (+) power supply cable from the fuse box and connect it to the center terminal. Take the remaining 2 positive (+) wires from your lantern. Strip and connect them to the last terminal (silver). " (I tried to add images but apparently it doesn't work.)
