UPDATE - 15 months later I still love the bed skirt. Short answer: This is the most amazing bed skirt you will buy. While it's true that you MUST remove the mattress once to properly fit the skirt, you never have to do so again. More: My Tempurpedic saga began with my husband's ankle surgery. We chose an adjustable bed. Long story shortened. We chose double XL's that fit the King frame so we could customize for our own comfort level. He also decided on a massage base. We've gone from a regular double bed with one base and one mattress to freestanding XL twins with two different bases. I gave up bed skirts 10 years ago because they were always moving and in need of adjustment, and I love seeing all that "nothingness" under my bed. BUT with all the cables and different sockets it became necessary to hide the mess. Please use your imagination and imagine a bed nightmare with all moving parts of bunk beds pushed together. Step into this AMAZING bed skirt. It solved all my unsightly problems. The skirt attaches to the "platform" with Velcro (that's a sheet with Velcro strips around the perimeter). Once you've placed it on the feather block or base, you can change color or wash the skirt by simply peeling off part of the skirt. It can be reattached in seconds. It moves with the mattresses and covers the functional parts under our bed. I will never buy another skirt for this or any of my regular beds ever again.
