Review on ESUN PLA PRO (PLA ) 3D Printer Filament by Bob Vulpes

If you want to clog your nozzles, use black PLA+ eSun!

If you constantly want to deal with clogged nozzles, sticky thermal breaks and constant underfilling, then this is your filament! Oh, what about the entanglement right after the coil? It worked well on some initial test prints, and I felt confident enough to use it for a long 15 hour print. Good finish, good adhesion etc. It stops extruding completely after about 13 hours. Try saving the print with another filament, it won't feed. The nozzle is clogged. Clean the nozzle, try another filament. Still not served, the thermal break is clogged! At this point, I buy a replacement hot-end assembly and try the eSun PLA+ again. This happens after a 3 hour print, try again to print the 15 hours. And about half due to extrusion and a clogged nozzle. After two prints! Since the hotend was cheap on eBay, I opted for a real E3D v6. Run a few PETG strands and a few other PLA strands to test this out as I'm cautious with the eSun at the moment. Walk away in no time. Load eSun, do some small prints, try again, another nozzle is clogged. Burn it, try using some canola oil on the magic eraser to smear the thread. This seems to finally clear the nozzle clog. Until the ball blocks the spool. Untangle it, do it again. And again. Last night I decided to give college another try at a short printout of less than an hour. It takes less than 30 minutes for the nozzle to clog. Clean it with wire, do a test print with another filament, works fine, do the same print in less than an hour and it starts extruding. Basically, that junk bonded the thermal break and nozzle together so badly that I'll probably have to take the hotend apart again (and realign my delta printer. so much fun!) to get it working again. I could get my money back for that junk right away. I don't have a PLA name that works properly. I bought it because eSun is considered a good brand. But I would give PLA+ a hard pass.
