Noctua is the leading manufacturer of air-cooled systems on the market. It won't get any better. Bought and installed two years ago. They're so good at pushing and pulling air that they rarely really need cleaning. I also have a Cooler Master Cosmos 2 case. In conjunction with this I have rarely reached 40C on my CPU. In fact, it takes the hottest days of the year to get my timings anywhere near that. On average, the temperature of my processor stays at around 33-38 degrees during heavy loads in multitasking mode and heavy games, and around 27-33 degrees in winter. I've also had fans run at top speed for a year straight (with duty cycles of course) and sometimes over 48 hours of operation. So far no wear and tear. I don't think I will ever buy another brand of fans again. These things provide results that are comparable to liquid cooling. And that's not the best. These things are quieter than my desk fan! I was amazed at how quiet these fans are, even at maximum speed. They are virtually silent at low to medium speeds. You need a good case to take full advantage of these fans, but even at worst they will outperform every other fan on the market, especially at their price point.
