To be fair, Ford failed. And if it weren't for the people who make these aftermarket fasteners, we'd still be fooling around with wires and broken joints. Just note that 1) you need a torx screwdriver to remove the factory screws, 2) I had to grind down the thickness of the red hook to avoid binding (see photo), and 3) I applied some lube, to solve the little one. If I hadn't made sure everything worked before closing the seatback I would be back where I started with a stuck and VERY difficult to open seat.
