Received these after a little research into alternatives to the DIY N95 mask. In a study using N95 as a control, N95 masks were 98% effective at filtering aerosols. These vacuum cleaner bags effectively filter 96% of aerosols. While pillowcases and t-shirts are less than 75% effective. It is worth noting that vacuum cleaner bags have high pressure ratings. This means more pressure is required to breathe through the material. So vacuum cleaner bags are not an ideal material for DIY masks for long-term use. However, a visit to the store and a well made mask will do a good job in my opinion. Don't take my word for it. Do your own research. I would post a link to the study but can't find it again.
