Sony NWZE384 Sony NWZE384 MP3 Video Player 8GB (Black) I bought this to replace an older similar Walkman which I was very happy with ; Unfortunately, the predecessor broke a few months after the warranty expired. I hope for a better life expectancy with this one. I looked at other brands and features and kept coming back to Sony. Why not my cell phone? Streaming Limits and Battery Life. The cell lends itself to stored media if I have access to a charger when I return - and I like the cell's Bluetooth headset - so I don't have to tug on cords. Pros: Relatively easy to navigate. It has a shuffle function which is a must for me. After 10+ months of regular exercise use - running/walking 5-7 days a week - it's holding up well. The charge takes about a week. The audio is perfectly acceptable for both stored digital media and live broadcasts. I purchased a separate case (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IYP7VXW/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_18) which I feel helped protect the headset connector (compared to my case) and the screen. The headset cord is long enough to tuck under a shirt and tuck out of a sleeve to keep it from dangling. (Bluetooth headphones would be great, but would probably drive the price beyond what I was willing to pay.) Cons: My old model had a separate on/off switch. To do this you need to be in the "Pause" mode and then hold down the "Option" key, which is also labeled "Pwr/Hold". It just wasn't intuitive for me to take a break and it took me a few months to get used to it. No built-in speaker - like my old one. The screen scratches easily - despite my additional case. Charging is a challenge. The manual may have instructions, but I lost it a long time ago. When I turn it on and leave, I either come back at the perfect time, find it fully charged and turn it off, or find it charged and then completely drained - so I start over. I bought it for music, not video. Good thing, because the screen is scratched from normal use.
