I tried using this product to cut 4 inch cast iron pipe. She held the saw's shoe firmly against the pipe and worked for about three minutes just to cut through the wall of the pipe. Once through, she cut off about an inch every minute until she was about three-quarters of the way through. At this point the cut started smoking so I took out the blade and let it cool. didn't bend at all. As the blade cooled, I felt the blade and found the teeth were almost completely worn away! So it couldn't even cut through a 4 inch pipe! I certainly could have finished the cut with the second blade, but I was fed up. Instead, I ordered a Diablo DS0908CF. It took several days, but then the same pipe (in a different location) was cut in less than 30 seconds. Then I made eight more cuts on 3" and 4" cast iron pipe with the same blade, and each cut was as quick as the last.
