Overall the item was lighter than I thought due to the cheap wood used as the base. That was actually good because what interested me the most was being able to cut straight leaves. Unfortunately, this paper cutter doesn't do that at all. The guide that is designed to hold the paper in place will ultimately be cut by the blade since both the blade and the guide are not straight. The blade is tilted to the left I believe because it is held to the left with force in the locked position. The guide is square instead of straight for some reason, which not only renders it useless but directly gets in the way of the blade. It was a waste of money and I'm so disappointed that I didn't open and test it immediately but left it after the return period. Please don't repeat my mistake, DO NOT BUY.
