Let me start this review by saying Torchstar makes a quality product, is easy to install (although I wish they had a fast connection) and is an overall cheap alternative. to well-known brands. Unfortunately, I started my house with Halo recessed lights (choice of colors) and have been very happy with them. I wanted to love Torchstar even more than Halo because they would be a lot more economical; However, they are not compatible with other brands. I have bought many Torchstar lights to fit my existing 3000k recessed lights from 4 different products: 4" 3000k, 6" 3000k, 6" older/thicker 3000k and even 6" 2700k. nothing came close to the warm tone. All 3000k matched the competition's daylight (almost like Dr Office) and the 2700 looked pretty much the same but with a strong pink tint. day tone, then it will be a good buy. If you're like me and want warm or soft light, I wouldn't do it (again, I've tried many options).
