A week ago I installed a fuel pump. However, after a few days I had the same difficult starting problems. After removing the fuel pump, I noticed that there was no special fixture holding the "fuel strainer" (it also fell out somewhere in the tank). Maybe it's my fault? Maybe. However, to be honest, I've changed fuel pumps many times, so I'm not new to installing this part. After removing the rubber fuel line that came with the kit, it looked like it had been chewed up by the gasoline. In other words, the rubber hose should not come into contact with petroleum distillates, i.e. "gas". Well if a product fails then it could be an installer problem. However, two products failed, which raises the question of the quality of this "gasoline pump". I rate this product a ZERO out of 10 (not 5). Extremely disappointed! I am keeping the pump to see how long this pump lasts and for no other reason. It's one thing to buy a nameless product and get that kind of performance, but another. Well, you all know the rest.
